About Jason Barnard

Acting is an art form that requires a creative mind and strong body. Many actors start their journey to becoming a star by training themselves. Jason Barnard is one such person. He was born in 1986 in London, England. His parents were both actors, so Jason was raised in an acting family. He trained himself as a child and became a skilled stage performer by the time he was twelve. He moved into television and film work soon after and has since become a sought-after actor.

Life Style

When Jason was born, his parents were both actors; this gave Jason and his sister the chance to follow in their footsteps. His parents had been performing since before they were married; this gave them experience working together on stage and in films. They moved from London to study at the drama school Ruscoe Caywood College when Jason was young. Their move to the college allowed them to live closer to their parents while they worked on their acting skills. They spent most of their time there training while keeping an eye on things back at home.

When Jason was twelve, his family sent him off to train with a renowned acting coach. His coach taught him how to act and improve his vocal abilities at the same time. He spent three years training with his coach before auditioning for college courses. He passed his exams and officially became an actor when he was fourteen years old. His family was proud of his successes, and they all came to watch when he graduated from Ruscoe Caywood College with a degree in performance study.

After college, Jason began working as an actor in television and film work. He played roles in plays like Hamlet, A Streetcar Named Desire and The Crucible. His later work included playing Prince Vultan in The Book of… Number of 3

  2. While training, Jason learned that many of his family members had auditions scheduled at the same time as his classes at Ruscoe Caywood College. They would leave early so they could attend auditions without missing any classes. Jason’s classes ran from 10am-5pm- which meant that many of his family members had classes later than him each day they were at college. This encouraged Jason to adjust his class times so he could attend college during the daytime while he waited for auditions outside of school hours.
  3. Actors are often compared to painters when discussing their craft; like painters, actors use their minds to express themselves artistically through movement and voice. For this reason, actors must train themselves like soldiers who can perform in any situation or setting with skill and gracefulness. That being said, many famous actors started out by training as actors themselves- such as Al Pacino or Meryl Streep!
